Just Add Mana

by SilverLinings

199 chapters · 675k words · updated 3 Oct 2026

The more lives you've lived, the more mana you have, and Cale has lived too many lives to count. At this point, his core is closer to the magical equivalent of a nuclear reactor. The downside to this is that conventional spells have become impossibly difficult to cast: Cale simply has too much mana. His spells collapse under the weight of his magic. Then he finds himself summoned to a new world. One with a spellwork system capable of adjusting to his ridiculous reserves, creating new spells just for him. Of course, things are never that simple. New magic means new things to learn, and if he wants to make spells worth having, that means going to a magic academy. On top of that, an old dragon has taken an interest in him, the kingdom's hunters seem alarmingly intent on attacking his classmates, and Cale's pretty sure at least one ancient evil has followed him from a past life. But who knows? With magic back on the table, he might finally be able to perform what he sees as the true pinnacle of spellwork: baking. -- Updates Tues/Thurs/Sat at ~7AM PT. This book is currently only available on RoyalRoad and Reddit. by GreyPilgrim_EoN

62 chapters · 126k words · updated 2 Oct 2026

The Voice gave Mark a second life and sent him to a world where people like him are burned at the stake. It just forgot to explain what the priests would be looking for. Mark had already survived the worst years of his life. Then he wasted the ones that came after them. He had plans. Good ones, even. He just never got around to starting them. Instead of waking up as a legendary hero, however, he finds himself trapped in the body of a nameless infant in a dirt-poor farming family. To claim this second life, Mark must survive the temple's tests and prove he isn't Abyss-touched.  All he has is the promise of a System that refuses to fully awaken, and a Trait hidden behind a blacked-out name. No powerful mentor waiting to guide him. No legendary artifact falling into his lap. No power without effort. In a world shaped by Traits, Professions, and power, most people spend their lives trying to become someone. Mark's problem is figuring out what he already is. A character-driven slow-burn progression fantasy about second chances, family, mystery, and power earned one step at a time. Three books and 140+ chapters already written.

Princess Lillia Ashvalin was supposed to inherit a throne, not fight a giant bug for the right to wear its skin as a dress. Sadly for Lillia and readers of regency romance, her murderous aunt had her thrown into the bowels of a SSS-Class Dungeon right before her coronation. Now our princess has fallen into a world—and genre—she was never meant for. Armed with a dead knight's sword she isn't allowed to equip and the [Princess] Class,  Lillia must fight her way through spooky monsters, elite bosses, deadly traps, and other deeply unaristocratic problems. Down here all the knights are dead. Down here nobody saves the princess. What to Expect: - Lillia tries her best. - Lillia does not understand how any of this works. - Progress is being made. Slowly. Against her will. - Lillia does not like this. At all. - A princess. A dungeon. A very poor career transition. -------- Chapters Monday, Wednesday and Friday

The Art of Seeking Gold

by LoveMoney

66 chapters · 245k words · updated 24 Sep 2026

Japanese translatation: https://ncode.syosetu.com/n9915ml/ This story is about: an internet troll and "critic" who gets transported into the manga she trash-talked online, and now she must save it from the apocalypse. The twist? People back in her own world are reading and commenting on the manga as it updates, so she must always stay in character. (And no, this isn't a "revenge fantasy" against a reader 😑) What to expect: Fun and satire, and eventually some darker parts. Notorious internet troll and critic, Amy Stake, has "karma" catch up to her when she criticizes the writing of a vengeful Goddess and gets reincarnated into a brutal shonen battle manga known for its astronomical body count. In an ironic twist of fate, she'll only get the powers the manga readers imagine she has, and her strength will be directly proportional to how much they love her. With death lurking at every step, Amy must now claw her way into the main story by any means necessary. Scene-stealing entrances, manufactured drama, and a possibly fabricated tragic backstory… Whatever it takes to secure her place as a fan favorite before the end of the world arrives.

Zenith of Sorcery

by nobody103

41 chapters · 261k words · updated 13 Sep 2026

After years of exile, Marcus is coming back home. A powerful mage with few equals, Marcus lives in a world full of monsters and powerful adepts, many of which have bad histories with him. But he has not come back to pursue vengeance or start a fight. All Marcus wants to do is reconnect with old friends, build himself a house, and maybe train a successor or two. Alas, the world didn’t stop just because Marcus went into exile, and not everyone is content to let go of old grievances. Strange things are happening in the world at large, too, hinting at a looming disaster of unknown nature. Still, where there is a will, there is a way. If nothing else, Marcus has a lot of magical power to throw at problems. +++ Zenith of Sorcery is set in its own original setting and isn’t related to Mother of Learning… beyond being written by the same person, of course. This is a more classical fantasy story than my previous one, with a lower level of technology and stuff like elves and dwarves, but it has a lot of worldbuilding effort put into it and its own complex magical system. The story has significant xianxia influences, but isn’t meant to be a xianxia story. For those of you not familiar with my previous work, I write relatively slowly. I intend to publish chapters at the rate of one chapter every three or four weeks, subject to further delays as life intervenes. Next Chapter Target Date: October 11th, 2026

Biracial Edgelord Can't Make Immortal : Power of Ten, Book Seven

by RE Druin

570 chapters · 1,177k words · updated 5 Sep 2026

This Book began May 2, 2025, and continues the story of the Shards of Aelryinth in other multiverses and worlds. Finisher in the October 2025 and April 2026 Writathon Challenges! ----------------- Shard Funf has been sent to yet another new multiverse, this one resembling Mystara of BECMI D&D. This world is oddly familiar, with dungeons and dragons, elves and dwarves, humans and orcs... but Good and Heaven are not powers here, only uncaring Law and Chaos, evil is in the eye of the beholder, and there are no gods, only ascended Immortals going about their personal Projects without much care for the lives and desires of mere mortals. The road to mortal Power is clear and broad, and Funf has a huge head start on matters, but when the world is in the hands of rival Immortals and hapless mortals are caught in the middle, it's going to take a new approach to things to shake up the existing order of things and maybe, just maybe, bring the Light of Heaven and some actual culpability to a bunch of uncaring super-beings...

The Elf Who Would Become A Dragon [Story Complete; Copyedits in Progress]

by ljamberfantasy

160 chapters · 781k words · updated 4 Jul 2026

They made her conform. She made them regret it. Saphienne lived the idyllic life of an elf in the woodlands. They told her she was loved; they told her she belonged; they told her she was superior to the aging, dying mortals. Eternal joy was to be her birthright, delivered by the supremacy of elven magic. But Saphienne was a profoundly gifted child — and all gifts demand a price. The woodlands weren’t the paradise they seemed, and once she’d witnessed their hidden suffering she couldn’t look away. Perhaps that was why she pursued an apprenticeship in wizardry, hurling herself against challenges both magical and moral. Saphienne would grow to become a formidable woman… and when the flames subsided, the elves would strike her name from history. Come: listen to the story they don’t want you to hear. Behold Saphienne in her becoming. See her rise and fall, losing what she cherishes and finding what matters, and in the end? Decide who she was for yourself. The Elf Who Would Become A Dragon is a heartwarming and heartbreaking fantasy about rejection and belonging, power and consequence, and the cost of being ourselves. Expect character-driven writing; fun but believable characters who grow over time; slow burn, slice of life drama with highs and lows; conflict with meaningful stakes; twists with satisfying conclusions; thoughtful and detailed worldbuilding; and an accessible, compelling story that has many layers — if you want to look for them. Written with accessible language for adult readers. New chapters on Wednesdays and Fridays. All chapters © L. J. Amber 2025–2026, All Rights Reserved.
