To break the cycle of divinity, Karina will burn down the sky & swallow the sun.
Karina wakes in the void between worlds and is summoned to the Cathedral of Concentric Suns. She’s died, but she can’t shake the feeling that this isn’t the first time.
Now, she is a summoned hero, but she isn’t THE summoned hero. She is one soul in a meat grinder of thousands trapped in an endless war against the Demon Queen.
On her march to war, Karina learns the truth, she’s on her 12th reincarnation, summoned again and again to fight the same war and feed experience to the gods. What’s more, her old lives set a plan in motion that ends with her.
Surrounded by paladins who still believe in the church and prisoners who tried to defy it, Karina can feel her old lives burning like ash at the back of her throat.
The System can barely contain her. Her own body fuels her fire. Her burns close as her mana returns.
The gods need their tithe to protect the realms of man. Other heroes fight an infinite war on their behalf.
A dozen reincarnations ago, the Cinder Mage stole fire from the gods.
Now she’s going back for the sun.
